My wife loves this pot. It heats the water quickly, shuts off if forgotten and makes her tea "just right". She had some initial hesitancy, but now uses it all the time. Great product.
Unbeatable price and very easy to use. Has a modern clean look and gets the job done pretty fast. Is my first eletric water kettle and I wonder why it took me so long to purchase it now can't live without it.
I tried to figure out why and could only conclude that it was leaking from where the handle enters the metal kettle. When I first used it I filled it up to the max water limit and tested it out. Maybe with all the heat there is some kind of expansion or something that causes some drops of water to leak out. I noticed that once the boiling was complete, there was small water drops dripping from the handle. Just so you know, it was maybe 4 or 5 drops, which is very little. Not sure if this is just my kettle but no one else has complained about it so its probably just a one off thing. Still, it heats water very quickly and the few drops that fall off it doesn't bother me too much.
The heating time is a bit longer than it is for my old plastic model, but we're talking seconds, not minutes. I've had three different electric kettles, two of which were plastic, and this one is the best. The metal seems to help hold the temperature for longer than the plastic did. The capacity, though not as big as the 2L model it replaced, still provides more than enough boiling water for most kitchen uses. Visually, it's about as appealing as you could ask for in this sort of appliance. Having a base you can plug the unit into is a huge convenience. The price is also fantastic.
I know some other people said that the switch is pretty fragile, and it does seem so, but it doesn't take much force to turn it on or off, so if you're gentle with it you shouldn't have a problem. I've had this Aroma water kettle for a couple weeks now. the cordless feature is pretty cool too. I bought it for making hot chocolate, and I love it.Water boils quickly, within minutes, and it automatically shuts off when its finished boiling. Its also really pretty, too. Overall, I love it. Hope it lasts a while.
